Somebody on your list would love a Funko Pop — and every gift guide on the internet is about to steer you wrong, because they're all written for collectors.
Collectors care about chase variants, vaulted pieces, exclusive stickers, and what a figure might be worth someday. The person you're buying for cares about exactly one thing: is it the character they love?
A $12 Pop of the right character beats a $60 "rare" Pop of a character they don't care about. Every single time. Here's how to get it right.
Mistake #1: Paying collector prices
When you search for a Funko Pop gift, the expensive listings shout the loudest — "CHASE! LIMITED! VAULTED!" Those words are for people building an investment shelf.
For a gift, they're a tax. The standard version of the character is the same figure your person will be thrilled to unwrap, usually for a quarter of the price. Everything in this guide is $20 or less, and none of it needs a collector's permission slip to be a great gift.
Mistake #2: Guessing at the fandom
A Pop is a character, and characters are personal. The 30-second check before you buy:
What do they binge, play, wear, and quote?
That's your answer. The Office quoter gets an Office character. The Yu-Gi-Oh player gets the dragon. Don't buy YOUR favorite character and call it a gift — that's a present for you that they have to store.
One more pro move: if you can, sneak a photo of their shelf. Collectors and fans display what they own, so one shelf photo tells you both what they love AND what they already have.
The sizes, in plain English

- Pocket Pop keychain — the stocking stuffer. Small, cheap, zero shelf space required. Perfect for the casual fan.
- Standard Pop (about 4 inches) — the default gift. This is the size almost everybody means when they say "a Funko Pop."
- Vinyl Gold (5 inches) — Funko's music line. Slightly bigger, made for music fans.
So who are you buying for?
The Marvel fan
Make-A-Wish Spider-Man (Metallic) — $11.00
It's Spider-Man — the safest superhero bet there is — in a metallic finish, from Funko's Make-A-Wish collection. A gift with a good story attached.
The Disney fan
Ultimate Princess Belle — $12.00
For the Beauty and the Beast person. The princess line is the one Disney fans actually display.
The Office fan
Every office has an Office fan, and they all have a soft spot for Darryl. The deep-cut character says "I actually know this show" way better than another Dwight.
The Yu-Gi-Oh / anime fan
Red-Eyes Black Dragon #718 — $12.00
The iconic dragon from Yu-Gi-Oh. For the anime fan, this one lands instantly.
The '90s NBA fan
Penny Hardaway, Magic Home Jersey — $12.00
Pure nostalgia. If they owned the Lil' Penny era, this is the one that makes them grin.
The baseball fan
Manny Machado, Padres Home Jersey — $20.00
For the Padres fan — or the baseball fan whose desk needs a cleanup hitter.
The music fan
Jam Master Jay, Vinyl Gold 5" — $7.00
Run DMC's DJ, in the slightly bigger Vinyl Gold size. The best under-$10 music gift on this list.
The stocking stuffer
Thor Pocket Pop Keychain — $9.99
Not sure they have shelf space? A keychain needs none. The low-commitment Marvel gift.
Quick answers
Should I take it out of the box?
No — and don't wrap the figure's own box in a way that tears it. For a lot of fans the box is part of the gift. Drop it in a gift bag or a bigger box and let THEM decide.
How much should a Pop gift cost?
$10–$20 buys a great one. If a listing costs much more, you're paying the collector tax from Mistake #1.
What if they already have this character?
Different versions of a character are normal in this world — metallic finishes, jerseys, and poses all count as different. And the shelf-photo trick above prevents most duplicates before they happen.
What's the collector add-on?
If yours IS a keeper-of-boxes, a clear protector case is the add-on they all use. It's the one thing on this page we don't currently stock — we're looking at it.
Fiveboyz sells this stuff every day, and half of December is us helping people pick the right character for somebody else. Stuck between two? Message us who it's for. That's the whole game.
